Dear Colleague,
Welcome to our 2011/2012 programme. Your committee has tried to plan an interesting and varied programme. Please do support the events.
We begin on 10th September at St Peter's Church, Stockton, where Locomotion, an all male choir, will give a recital beginning at 7.30pm. The choir aims to promote singing for both unbroken and broken voices. They are based in Darlington, hence the name chosen to reflect Darlington's strong railway history. The conductor is Ben Findlay. Further information about the choir is available on their website. There will be a retiring collection for the choir.
Enclosed you will find the annual programme card and poster and a ticket for Robert Sharpe's recital on1st October. We are indeed lucky to have him. A list of members is also enclosed. Please notify me ofany additions/deletions.
Finally, I hear from our Treasurer that 23 members have yet to pay their subscriptions. Please send the amount (£15) direct to John and don't forget to Gift Aid if applicable. I look forward to welcoming you on 10th September.
